Hi, I'm Miss Giblin and I have the pleasure to lead Computing at Wargrave.

Leading Computing means that I am responsible for shaping and enhancing the digital education experience for our children, as well as their online safety. It allows me to see the development across school as children are introduced to different software’s and skills throughout their year groups.

Computing is significant in primary education as most jobs that our children will go on to do, don’t even exist yet, so developing their knowledge and understanding of the digital world is crucial. I have developed our primary computing curriculum, ensuring it aligns with national standards and promotes digital literacy, problem-solving, and creativity. As technology is constantly changing and developing, it is important that as a school, we stay current with technology trends to ensure our children are prepared for the digital world, and understand the benefits and risks that this brings. We do this by including units of work such as programming, digital art and app development. We’re preparing our students for a digital future!
