OUR FAITH

We build our school on strong Christian values, supporting our children and families as members of the Wargrave community and the wider world.
We trust God to guide both children and adults to reach their full potential, in a nurturing loving environment.

I am... friendship, truth and respect!

Our school has secure links with Emmanuel Wargrave Church.   Rev'd Chris and Rev'd Veronica lead acts of worship in school on a weekly basis for both key stages.  This is complimented by our Jesus and Me Club (JAM) which the church run as an extra currcular club at school.

Our children visit the church to not only compliment their RE currculum but also to celebrate key festivals in the church calendar.

Eucharist is held in school or at Emmanuel Wargrave for children and staff on a termly basis.

Services and events for children and families are held at Emmanuel Wargrave and all are welcome to these – they are publicised within school and a number of children attend these, particularly those on the Worship Crew.

Our

  "I am the light of the world."

John 8:12

Our school Christian values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

The values were selected by the families, staff and friends of Wargrave Church of England Primary School and Emmanuel Wargrave.  Each term we focus on a specific whole school Christian value and celebrate these in our weekly Celebration Worship.

Our core values are: I am... Truth

Friendship Respect

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

Charity Of The Year

During September, our children learnt about lots different charities which mean a lot to our staff.  The children then were given the chance to vote for the charity which they felt we should adaopt as our charity of the year.

We are delighted to annouce that the charity which Wargrave will support this year is the Tubular Sclerosis Association.
